Cebu Pacific earlier released a list of flight cancellations from April 28 to 30.

The "unprecedented" flight disruption was due to various factors, including several damaged aircraft and heavy traffic that prevented flights from taking off and landing on time, the country's largest carrier explained.

"To create space in our schedule for operational recovery, minimize rolling delays and give passengers the chance to make alternate travel plans, we have to temporarily reduce the number of our flights given the current operating conditions, particularly in our Manila hub," the airline added.

The Civil Aeronautics Board said it is investigating the incident.
