MANILA - The government approved full commercial operations of the first sub-section of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), its operator, Metro Pacific Investment Corp, said Tuesday.
The 10.7-kilometer section runs from the Mamplasan Entry in Biñan to the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay interchange in Laguna. The first segment opened toll-free in October.
The Toll Regulatory Board also approved the operator's petition to collect toll of P47 for Class 1 vehicles, P95 for Class 2 and 143 for Class 3, MPIC said.
The 45-kilometer CALAX will connect Kawit, Cavite to Mamplasan in Biñan once fully operational by 2022.
