MANILA -- An umbrella organization of travel agencies said Friday it hoped the alert level on Taal Volcano would be lowered soon to allow the tourism industry there to recover.

Tagaytay City, the region's main tourist draw, is an easy getaway from Metro Manila because it is accessible by car, Ritchie Tuano, president of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association, told ANC's Headstart.
