MANILA - (UPDATE 4) Airlines resumed some flights at the Philippine capital's main airport on Monday after authorities announced the partial resumption of operations.

Many flights, however, remain canceled or were diverted to other airports, due to safety concerns following the steam and ash eruption of Taal Volcano.

Philippine Airlines

Philippine Airlines said the following flights on Monday have been affected as of 4 p.m.

PAL, however, said further changes may be announced. The company advises clients to check the status of their flights on its website before proceeding to the airport.

Cebu Pacific

Cebu Pacific said it is also "progressively" resuming flights on Monday, following NAIA's partial resumption of operations.

But the airline also said it is urging passengers on flights scheduled on Monday and Tuesday to and from NAIA "to reconsider their plans and forego travelling for the meantime."

The company said passengers should check the status of flights on its website.

Cebu Pacific said the following flights were canceled as of 6:30 p.m. Monday.

AirAsia said it has also resumed some of its domestic and international flights in Manila, but some flights for Monday remain canceled.

AirAsia advises its clients traveling over the next few days to check their flight status on its website.

Asiana Airlines

Korea's Asiana Airlines has also canceled several flights on Monday as of 1:45 p.m.

  • OZ702 - Manila to Incheon
  • OZ704 - Manila to Incheon
  • OZ701 - Incheon to Manila
  • OZ703 - Incheon to Manila

One Asiana flight meanwhile was delayed:

  • OZ708 - Clark to Incheon Departure Delay
  • Original Sched: ETD Jan 13, 1:35 am – ETA Jan 13, 6:30 am
  • New Sched: ETD Jan 13, 9:35 pm – ETA Jan 14, 2:30+1 am

The airline also advised clients to check its website for updates.

Malaysia Airlines

Malaysia Airlines said its NAIA flights have also been suspended due to the eruption of Taal Volcano.

The affected flights are as follows:

  • MH704 Kuala Lumpur (12:45pm) – Manila (4:30pm)
  • MH804 Kuala Lumpur (5:35pm) – Manila (9:20 pm)

  • MH705 Manila (5:20pm)- Kuala Lumpur (9:22pm)
  • MH807 Manila (1:15pm) – Kuala Lumpur (5:15pm)

Thai Airways

Thai Airways has also canceled the following flights on Monday
