If the Chinese New Year is making you crave Chinese food and you want to make pasikat to the fam, then surprise them with a Chinese-inspired feast you cooked up yourself. The versions in Panlasang Pinoy are, of course, tweaked to appeal more to the Pinoy palate, and made simple by IT professional-turned-food vlogger Vanjo Merano. This Pinoy dad, who has over 4.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 6.4 million followers on Facebook, is obviously more geared towards making Filipino cuisine known to the rest of the world, hence the title of the vlog. So we like how he makes other Asian recipes—Chinese included—very Pinoy, if that makes any sense.
