Those looking for a quick bite before work or school, during a quick lunch break, or before heading home to take to their family often run to the convenience store for a quick and satisfying meal.

However, sometimes we just tend to crave a home cooked meal even when we are in a hurry but with our busy schedule, it is just impossible to cook one for yourself, not to mention the effort and energy it takes to prepare one. Thankfully Chef Claude Tayag and one of the country's leading convenience store chains, 7-Eleven is bringing you that homey feeling with every bite of the latest Chef Creations line.

Dig in a Pinoy feast with the new five-set line of single-serve, heat-to-eat packs. Customers can choose from the Batchoy, Palabok, Sinampalukang Manok, and Bicol Express starting at P95.

Taking inspiration from his travel book 'Linamnam,' Chef Claude shares his inspiration in creating four new dishes for the premium rice line.

"During the pandemic, we were all on lockdown. I am sure everyone missed their home in the province. In those uncertain times, we wanted to bring something that would make them feel happy even for just a brief moment – an experience that would bring you back home to your family's cooking. What better way to do that than with Filipino comfort food," Chef Claude shares.

For the renowned chef, recreating the iconic dishes from different provinces in the Philippines is all about respecting the ingredients and culture behind every dish. Recounting his travels for his book 'Linamnam,' Chef Claude sought the best dishes from every region and tried to recreate them.

"When we would ask locals in any city where we can find the best Bicol Express, Palabok, Batchoy, Sinampalukang Manok, or any dish for that matter, they would always say 'sa bahay namin' or 'yung kay nanay'," says Chef Claude.

This inspired Chef Claude to take these dishes and serve them to the public by teaming up with 7-Eleven. With the rice line of Chef Creations, they are offering a quick and yummy fix for home cooked Filipino meal cravings and ulam options for customers.

As expected of on-the-go meals from 7-Eleven, these are packed with 'malinamnam' (savory) goodness from the seasoning to condiments. But as a true Pinoy foodie himself, Chef Claude does not forget about the Filipino habit of 'sawsawan' or dipping sauce. He recommends adding patis, toyo, suka or any other sauces that will truly satisfy the Filipino palate.

Enjoy a hassle-free and accessible Filipino feast with these single-serve meals at home or with families, friends or co-workers anytime, anywhere, wherever there is a 7-Eleven store nearby. All four variants of #711ChefCreations are now available in select 7-Eleven Luzon stores.
