A first of its kind, the All-New Corolla Altis is Toyota Motor Philippines’ (TMP) strategy of revolutionizing the automobile experience through its Hybrid Technology. The All-New Corolla Altis lineup is headlined by a hybrid electric variant, pioneering the technology’s usage in a mainstream, high-volume model.

Toyota’s All New Corolla Altis comes in five variants and are offered at a value of P999,000 to P1,580,000. It is available in the colors White Pearl (1.8 V HV and 1.6 V CVT only), Celestite Gray Metallic (NEW), Attitude Black, Silver Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, and Super White (1.6 G CVT, 1.6 G MT, and 1.6 E MT only). The model is now available at all Toyota dealerships nationwide.

Performance

Aside from its bold novelty, the new model impresses with its improved Agility, Stability, and Visibility, under the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform. Less roll and sharper vehicle response caused by the lower center of gravity and improved suspension, allows the driver to be more in control. At the same time, visibility is enhanced due to the reduced cowl height, thinner instrument panel, and repositioned mirrors. Furthermore, a more regulated sound insulation upgrades the overall ride with the utmost solitude and comfort​.

Staying true to TNGA’s pillars – Core Strength and Emphasized Personality, the vehicle’s overall drive quality and appeal is elevated in pursuit of making “Ever-Better Cars.”

Regular variants of the All-New Corolla Altis are enabled by a Dual VVT-I, 4-Cylinder In-Line DOHC, 16 Valve engine, which produces 121hp maximum output and 153NM maximum torque @5,200rpm, at a displacement of 1,598cc. This distinct setup is what generates the vehicle’s smooth acceleration, minimal noise, and better fuel efficiency.

To add, a MacPherson Strut/Double Wishbone Type suspension is present in all variants, to ensure excellent handling, and a more comfortable and stable ride.

Contemporary Design​

Designed to suit the modern age, the All New Corolla Altis boasts of up-to-date external and internal features. Retaining the signature Toyota trapezoidal lower grille below the Toyota emblem, the 1.8V HV and 1.6V CVT variants stun with defined bi-beam LED Headlamps with Daytime Running Lights.

The overall look of the vehicle is complemented by 17” alloy wheels (for 1.8V HV and 1.6V CVT) to add sportiness to it. Moreover, its side view silhouette emanate dynamism with an emphasis to its voluminous front and rear bumps that grant a low center-of-gravity. Safety Features

Principally, all variants of the All-New Corolla Altis are equipped with 7 SRS airbags, Anti-Lock Brake System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, Hill Start Assist, and 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelts for the driver and all passengers.

In the event of a collision, the vehicle’s framework is structured to withstand impact and minimize cabin deformation, through distribution of collision energy. Moreover, in the improbable event of a collision with a pedestrian, the vehicle’s engine hood and cowl louver are configured to reduce impact energy.

The Hybrid variant of the All-New Corolla Altis is only the second model in the Philippines to feature Toyota Safety Sense( TSS). The Hiace Super Grandia Elite first introduced features like Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), and Automatic High Beam (AHB), and the All-New Corolla Altis 1.8V HV, brought new features such as the Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) and the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC).

- Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) – this function assists the driver by gently nudging the steering wheel back to the driver's proper lane.
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) – when driving at cruise control, the vehicle drives at constant preset speed and will adjust within the set cruise speed upon detection of another vehicle in front to maintain appropriate distance. Full speed range following function enables the vehicle to decelerate to 0km/h when the vehicle in front comes to a full stop.
