A fierce dance battle is about to take place and fans are going to judge who gets called to be the champion.

Filipinos love to dance. In the country, it was around the 90s that the term 'street dance' became known. Since then, hundreds and thousands of street dance battles have been held around the country – professionally and even amateur barangay competitions. Several groups have even joined international street dance battles and have won, representing the Philippines.

Filipino dance troupes take pride in their skill, creativity, hard work, dedication, and commitment to dancing. They spend long hours of non-stop practicing, and some groups and individuals are even faced with financial difficulties but are still continuing to dance – creating their own costumes, working part-time just to sustain their love for dancing. Their passion for the art has been praised and recognized around the world.

Nowadays, a lot of Filipino dancers are being known around the world as well, thanks to social media.

With Filipinos making some noise in the world of dance internationally, finally, a one-of-a-kind dance battle competition has made its way to the Philippines, to look for the best dancer who could compete in the international stage.

Red Bull Dance Your Style makes its way to the Philippines. With the aim to build a credible dance battle experience for diverse local dance communities in the country and connect them with the international scene.

Red Bull, a popular energy drink, is a functional beverage that gives wings to people and ideas which helps vitalize the body and mind. It is also their mission to support talent and passion, which is why they have come up with the dance battle to support and showcase world-class talent.

The one-of-a-kind competition is a global one-on-one dance battle where the crowd and street dance fans are the judges. The winner of the Red Bull Dance Your Style in the Philippines will represent the country on the global stage.

It challenges the best dancers and entertainers around the globe to bring improvisation to a whole new level as dancers will move to unpredictable tunes ranging from mainstream hits to timeless classics - allowing dancers to showcase their energy and talent to wow the crowd.

Lucky fans who are able to attend the venue will have the power to vote for the dancer who rules the dance floor. The criteria for judging include: rhythm, movement, creativity, and charisma. On the event day, there will be top 16 dancers who will battle out and see who gets the heart of the crowd.

Red Bull Dance Your Style is a top dance all styles format which includes: hip hop, house, locking, popping, waacking, tutting, voguing, krumping, aero dance, dancehall and local relevant dance styles with street dance root, but no breaking.

The 16 street dancers will be battling in four heats on a dancefloor. There will be two rounds per battle, and three in the final round.

Interested fans who were not able to register can still watch on the competition on iWantTFC and ABS-CBN Entertainment's YouTube channel.
