When a family is put in danger during times of crisis, it is the duty of its leaders to function quickly and rationally to ensure its members' well-being.

This is more important now than ever as the world grapples with the current situation. During situations like this when an employee's health and livelihood are at risk, it is necessary to look at how big corporations will support the very backbone of their companies.

The Chairman of the Board and CEO of BGX Holdings, Elbridge J. Gutierrez, along with subsidiary executives Reo Dante Olbes (COO-BGCOMM), Peter Salvadico (CEO-PSGTC), Jose Ronello Bartolome (CEO-NexBridge Technologies), and Ben Berdin (CEO-Redbin Communications & Brand Solutions Inc.) chose to cease all operations until it is deemed safe for its workers to return to work.

Following the earlier announcement of BGCOMM Contact Solutions (BPO subsidiary of BGX Holdings)—that its employees will get a substantial amount of their salaries despite having no mandatory work—it has now been announced that this benefit will be extended to the rest of the subsidiaries: BGConnexxion (retail and consumer goods), BGXpress Movers (freight forwarding, warehousing, distribution), and Davao-based PSGTC (automotive product distributor).

Mitch Gutierrez, VP of Human Resources, also said that BGX Holdings will be shouldering 100% of its employees' government contributions as part of its P24 million Employee Welfare Fund. Leave credits will also remain untouched to ensure that they can be taken by the employees for a well-deserved holiday after operations have returned to normal.

Subsidiaries who are under a work from home arrangement are Redbin Communications & Brand Solutions Inc. and NexBridge Technologies, which are currently developing an app that can aid in contact tracing efforts done by the DILG and DOH.

"The app is now in its final prototype stages and is set to be presented for accreditation and approval for free public use," said Jose Ronello Bartolome, CEO of NexBridge Technologies.

Staying true to its commitment to treat the company as a family, BGX Holdings sets an example of what companies can do to help their workers during times like this.

BGX Holdings is the holding corporation of BGCOMM Contact Solutions NexBridge Tech, Redbin Communications & Brand Solutions Inc., BGConnexxion, PSGTC, and BGXpress Movers. BGConnexxion is primarily engaged in the of branded (OBM) and originally equipped or developed manufactured (OEM | ODM) products whether electronic products, electrical appliances, hardware and tools, consumer goods, gifts and premiums, jewelries and accessories, textile & garments and medical & health devices. BGXpress Movers is the logistics arm of BGX Holdings and is the latest addition to its roster of subsidiaries. Davao-based PSGTC is a nationwide distributor of automotive parts, oils, and lubricants.
