A maximum of three typhoons may enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) in November, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

PAGASA weather forecaster Meno Mendoza also shared the agency is currently monitoring a low pressure area (LPA) that was spotted 1,240 kilometers east of Mindanao, outside PAR.

The LPA, he said, may intensify into a typhoon within 48 to 72 hours.

In the meantime, an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will dump light to moderate rains over Visayas, Mindanao, Bicol Region and the provinces of Palawan, Mindoro and Romblon, Mendoza said.

He added that Cagayan, Isabela and Ilocos Norte provinces will experience cloudy skies with light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.
