MMDA general manager Tim Orbos said traffic privileges given to doctors have been abused in the past by motorists who attach the caduceus insignia of medicine to their vehicles even if they are not doctors.

Orbos said doctors attending to medical emergencies may instead seek assistance from traffic enforcers or apply for a 24-hour exemption to the "no window hours" policy.
The policy, he added, only exempts ambulances, firetrucks, police vehicles and military vehicles, government cars with red plates and diplomatic vehicles.
