MANILA - Senator Richard Gordon on Wednesday said President Rodrigo Duterte's decision to let members of urban poor group Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) live in government housing units they have illegally occupied is a bad move that may lead to anarchy.

"Kinukuha yung bahay na ginagawa ng NHA (National Housing Authority), ibibigay mo dun sa mga nanggugulo. Bad signal, Mr. President. You’re falling on your own sword," he said in an interview with ANC's Headstart.

"Nadadapa ka sa sarili mong espada because pagka ganiyan, that’s a ticket to what you call anarchy—anybody taking the law into their own hands. These people are not above the law, and we should not do that," he added.
