A Senate panel on Tuesday said it will summon the supposed administrator of anti-administration blog "Silent No More"and the representatives of Facebook to its investigation on "fake news."

Cocoy Dayao, the alleged blogger behind Silent No More, had branded 7 senators as "Malacañang dogs" for supposedly refusing to sign a Senate resolution condemning the killings under the administration's drug war.

He has failed to attend the first 2 hearings of the Senate Committee on Public Information and Mass Media.

Senator Grace Poe, chairperson of the panel, lambasted Dayao saying, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it?"

"[For] a lot of us, it is so easy to criticize, but when it comes for us to be able to face the public, natatakot tayong lumabas. Kung matapang kang mamintas, magpakita ka rin and be accountable," he added.

Meanwhile, Facebook representatives had skipped the hearings due to "some management changes," said Poe.

Senator Emmanuel Pacquiao moved to issue a subpoena against Dayao and the firm representatives, to which Poe replied: "So moved, we will issue the subpoena."
