MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte will receive on Tuesday a new draft Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), marking an important step in his government's effort forge peace with the country’s largest Moro rebel group.
MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte will receive on Tuesday a new draft Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), marking an important step in his government's effort forge peace with the country’s largest Moro rebel group.
The BBL, which will enable the peace pact signed by the Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) in 2014, will pave the way for creation of a new Bangsamoro region, which will supersede the current Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
