MANILA -- Returning contestant Sam Mangubat successfully defended his "Tawag ng Tanghalan" belt on Monday with his cover of Backstreet Boys' hit song "Incomplete."

Mangubat, who hails from Batangas, defeated daily winner Mark Onahon, who sang El Debarge's "Time Will Reveal." Mangubat earned a final score of 93.4%, while Onahon fell short with 89.0%.
