The trade war between the United States and China will affect the Philippines if prolonged, an analyst said Saturday.

Economic adviser Francis Chua said Manila will feel the impact of prolonged trade tensions between the two superpowers since these are major importers.

"Anything that harms these economies, it will in one way or another affect us if it is prolonged for a long period. Short period, it's not harmful," he told ANC.
