MANILA – A group of young Pinoys dressed up as the cast members of the wildly popular Korean movie “Train to Busan” for Halloween, and their photos became a viral hit.

Twitter user Elise Mendoza posted the photos late last month using the hashtag #TrainTutuban, referring to the bargain haven in Manila.

As of writing, the post has over 23,000 retweets and nearly 40,000 likes on the microblogging site.

In another post, Mendoza described their group as “a bunch of weird kids who found each other in college and still enjoy being weird together.”

Netizens commended Mendoza and her group for their creativity, with some even calling them the “barkada of the year.”

A global box office hit, “Train to Busan” is a movie about a group of unfortunate passengers trapped on board a train during a zombie breakout.

Lead actor Gong Yoo previously teased that the movie will have a sequel.
