MANILA, Philippines – Former Ateneo star Alyssa Valdez is set to join Thai volleyball club 3BB Nakornonnt starting in January.

The club announced through its Facebook account that Valdez will play for the team in the second leg of the on-going Thailand League as well as the Thai-Denmark Super League.

3BB Nakornonnt's head coach, Sub. Lt. Thanakit Inleang is banking on Valdez's attacking and defensive skills to bolster the team, which currently has a 3-2 win-loss record.

The move will reunite Valdez with her former Bureau of Customs teammates Som Kuthaisong and Nic Jaisaen, both of whom helped the Transformers reach the Finals of the V-League Season 13 Reinforced Conference where they lost to Pocari Sweat.

According to the Thailand Volleyball Twitter account, Valdez will likely play her first game with 3BB Nakornonnt on January 29 against King-Bangkok.
