MANILA – PBA star James Yap refused to comment on the recent statements of his former wife Kris Aquino, who said she felt hurt with the decision of the basketball player not to tell their son Bimby about his baby with Italian girlfriend Michela Cazzola.

Speaking to entertainment site PEP, Yap said he no longer wants to talk about whatever Aquino has said, adding that they both know what actually happened.

“Sinabi ko naman noon na hintayin ko na lang magkaisip si Bimby. Nagsalita na ako noon, tama na 'yun,” he said. “Ipag-pray ko na lang na dumating nga 'yung time na maintindihan ni Bimby lahat.”

If he would have it his way, Yap said he wants his children to grow close to each other.

Asked if he also misses Bimby, he said: “Nami-miss kung nami-miss ang anak ko siyempre. Pero wala na akong magagawa. Basta ayaw ko na lang magsalita pa para hindi na lumaki ‘to. Hayaan na lang natin na maintindihan ito ni Bimby lahat pagdating ng araw.”

Meanwhile, Cazzola, who was with Yap during the interview, couldn’t stop talking about their son, baby MJ.

Cazzola said their son is growing so fast and it flatters her every time people say their son looks adorable.

But why don’t they post a lot of pictures of baby MJ?

“Ayaw ko. No. I’m very jealous. He’s for me only,” Cazzola said with a smile. “I just want to keep his privacy.”

Cazzola said she and Yap have yet to discuss when they’re going to share more of baby MJ’s pictures on social media.
