Both of her parents used to rollerskate. This influenced her to pick up skateboarding at the age of 12.

Her talent was such that she received sponsorship and was able to provide financial support to her family.

Last May, she put the Philippines on the world skateboarding map by making it to the final round of the elite Street League Skateboarding (SLS) Pro Open London Women’s Qualifier in London.

She bowed out to eventual winner Jenn Soto of the US and ended up eighth overall.
