Meralco's Rey Guevarra made it three in a row by beating teammate Chris Newsome and winning the 2016 PBA All-Star Slam Dunk competition on Friday.

But Guevarra had stiff competition in Newsome, who completed a 360-degree dunk off a pass from the side of the board.

Guevarra, however, jumped over Jericho Cruz and Raymond Almazan for a one-handed slam to get the victory.

Guevarra finished with a total of 97 points in the final round, besting Newsome who settled with 96.

Newsome started the final round by juggling three balls. He chose only one which he hurled midair before completing a self alley-oop. This earned him 46 points.

Guevarra then came back with a reverse dunk after passing the ball between the legs. The move earned him a 50.

Ginebra’s Franklin Bonifacio and NLEX’s James Forrester failed to make it to the final round after they settled with 80 and 74 points, respectively.
