MANILA, Philippines – Petron's outstanding libero Jen Reyes is the fourth player to receive a golden ticket from the Philippine Superliga (PSL) and become a part of the team that will compete in the FIVB Women's Club World Championship on October 18-23 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The veteran Reyes was part of the Petron team that competed in the AVC Asian Women's Club Championship last year and is considered one of the best floor defenders in the country due to her quickness, agility, and leadership.

"She's the best in the business when it comes to defending the floor," said PSL president Ramon "Tats" Suzara, who personally handed Reyes the ticket during the league's visit to Batangas on Tuesday.

"It's going to be a great opportunity for Reyes to experience world-class volleyball action and learn from her foreign teammates and coaches," he added. "We hope that she will do her best to make the country proud."

Petron will be joining F2 Logistics setter Kim Fajardo, and the RC Cola-Army pair of Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis in the squad, which will be bolstered by seven foreign reinforcements.

Reyes, who starred for National University in college, said she was "super happy and blessed" to receive the unexpected honor.

"Ito 'yung binigay sa akin. Kumbaga, makakasama ako sa history ng Pilipinas," she said. "Kailangan, 'yung opportunity na ito, huwag mong hayaan lang."

"Kumbaga, nabigyan ka ng pagkakataon. Ipakita mo sa mga tao 'yung talent at mga natutunan mo simula pa lang noong nagu-umpisa ako sa volleyball," she added.

The PSL All-Star team will face Rexona Ades of Brazil, Volero Zurich of Switzerland, Pomi Casalmaggiore of Italy, Bangkok Glass of Thailand, Hisamitsu Springs of Japan and VakifBank Istanbul and Eczacibasi VitrA of Turkey.
