Kiyomi Watanabe (judo), Hidilyn Diaz (weightlifting) and Carlos Yulo (gymnastics) will represent the Philippines in the Asian Games in Indonesia, which begin next month.

The country's delegation to the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia next month numbers 335 athletes, coaches and officials, the Philippine Olympic Committee has said.

Out of that total, 272 are athletes representing 31 sports with BMX rider Daniel Caluag, the lone Filipino gold medalist during the 2014 Games in South Korea, ready to defend his title.

Also expected to boost the team's campaign are the men’s and women’s dragon-boat teams, the women’s softball squad and the Gilas Pilipinas men’s basketball team.

Olympic silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz of weightlifting, jujitsu specialists Meggie Ochoa and Annie Ramirez, judokas Kiyomi Watanabe and Mariya Takahashi, and gymnast Carlos Yulo have been tagged as medal favorites.
