LOS ANGELES -- For 15 years, the Wild Card Gym was Manny Pacquiao's workspace for every fight.

The fighting pride of the Philippines would spend weeks of punches and game plans with hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach.

If the retirement does push through after his fight with Timothy Bradley on April 9, Pacquiao's final moments inside the gym was capped off with a group prayer.

"Medyo mami-miss ko ang Wild Card after this," Pacquiao said. "Enjoy naman kami for this training camp so that's the first time we prayed after the training. We prayed together."

Although Roach is hoping that Pacquiao will still extend his career, the trainer said he is already making the most of his time with his prized pupil.

"You never know, this could be the last one. I'm hoping it's not but he keeps telling me it is. So maybe I should have to realize it some day but the truth is, I'll miss him. It's the best part of my life with Manny Pacquiao," he said.

The "Pacman" admitted to reporters that when he first entered the gym he had no idea that it would lead to a historic boxing career.

"Way back 15 years ago, I never expected na maabot ko ang naabot ko. Happy ako sa blessings ng Panginoon," he said.

With the Philippine elections around the corner, the fighting congressman and senatorial candidate urged his kababayans to forget about politics for one week and to just focus on his fight against Bradley.

"Huwag po natin isipin ito kasama sa election. Magsama-sama po tayo, magkaisa po tayo para sa karalangan ng bansa natin," he said.
"Maging proud po sana kayo."

Whether or not this is truly the last time Pacquiao walks out the Wild Card Gym as a fighter, one thing is for certain: no matter what happens on April 9, Roach said Pacquiao is the best thing to ever happen to this boxing club.
