MANILA, Philippines – Veteran forward Danny Seigle reached a career milestone in emphatic fashion on Sunday, after he became only the 49th player in the history of the PBA to record 300 blocked shots.

Now playing for the TNT KaTropa, Seigle reached the threshold with a rejection of reigning three-time MVP June Mar Fajardo at the 5:28 mark of the second quarter of Game 3 of their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series against the San Miguel Beermen.

Seigle finished with two blocks on top of four points in just six minutes and 11 seconds of playing time.

"It's another milestone that I can look back and be proud of," Seigle said of his achievement. "I'm not always known for my defense – mostly for my offense. I wish I could look back that I did that."

That the block was at Fajardo's expense only makes it more memorable.

"I guess it is a little more special, because June Mar is the biggest guy in the league," said Seigle. "I always said I'm a self-proclaimed underrated 'big.'"

According to PBA statistician Fidel Mangonon, Seigle is the 11th active player to reach the 300-block milestone. The legendary Ramon Fernandez holds the record for most blocks in PBA history, with 1,853 rejections in a two-decade career.
