It was bound to happen, sooner or later, right?

When (now former) FEU star and UAAP Season 78 champion and Finals MVP Mac Belo became a household name in collegiate basketball, people began asking, whether seriously or in jest, if he was related to the other popular Belo, Dr. Vicki.

"Nanay ba niya?"

"Baka Tita!"

"Di naman ata sila magka-anoano eh."

Whatever the case, FEU fans began coming up with clever signs and catchphrases that played around with their last name and Dr. Vicki's popular taglines.

And then...

Finally met everyone's basketball @macbelo12 idol #belo is treating him for acne and acne scars . He just did the #belo #timecapsule a fast way to get rid of scars . We might be related because our fathers are both from #panay #capiz

Well according to Dr. Vicki's Instagram post, they might actually be related since both their fathers are from Panay, Capiz. Far-off cousins, maybe?
