MANILA -- Gilas Pilipinas head coach Chot Reyes has named the 23 players that will be included in the national team pool for the much anticipated 2023 FIBA World Cup to be hosted by the Philippines along with Japan and Indonesia.

Leading the 23-man list are UAAP Season 80 Finals MVP Thirdy Ravena, San Beda Red Lions' Robert Bolick and rising star Kobe Paras.

Also included in the pool are the 16-year-old, 7-foot-2 Ateneo center Kai Zachary Sotto and NCAA Season 93 MVP Jaymar Perez of Lyceum Pirates.

Joining Bolick and Perez in the back court are Juan Gomez de Liano of the University of the Philippines, Remy Martin of Arizona State University, Matt Nieto of Ateneo, and Paul Desiderio of UP.

Besides Paras and Ravena, the other wingmen are JJ Alejandro of National University Kenneth Tuffin of Far Eastern University, Jeo Ambohot of Letran, Dwight Ramos of California State University, Joshua Sinclair of NU, Arvin Tolentino of FEU and Javee Mocon of San Beda.

Sotto is included in the list of big men along with Isaac Go of Ateneo, Abu Tratter of De La Salle University, Ariel John Edu of Llandovery College in UK, Carl Tamayo of NU, Kenmark Cariño of San Beda, Will Allen Gozum of Mapua, and Troy Rike of Wake Forest University.

Yesterday, Reyes also revealed the preliminary roster for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers next month of Gilas Pilipinas.

Reyes named Jayson Castro, Kiefer Ravena, Kevin Alas, Jio Jalalon, RR Pogoy, Matthew Wright, Allein Maliksi, Gabe Norwood, Calvin Abueva, Carl Bryan Cruz, Mac Belo, Troy Rosario, Raymond Almazan, Japeth Aguilar and June Mar Fajardo.

Eleven out of the aforementioned names played in the first qualifying window in November, when Gilas topped Japan in Tokyo and Chinese-Taipei at Araneta Coliseum.
