MANILA - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said it has not received reports of any Filipinos hurt in the powerful earthquake that rattled Japan early Tuesday.

Citing the Japan Meteorological Agency, Reuters reported the earthquake generated a tsunami off the northern coast of Japan -- an area devastated in 2011 by a massive quake, tsunami and nuclear disaster.
