Filipino and American soldiers have been training together in Luzon, photos from the US Embassy showed Saturday.

The joint exercise includes activities such as military movement near shores, aircraft maintenance repair, lifesaving training, and live-fire demonstration.

The military drill, called "Kamandag," which stands for "Kaagapay ng mga Mandirigma ng Dagat," seeks to hone a soldier's ability to respond during incidents of terrorism or calamities.

The US Embassy said the joint exercise shows the strong alliance between Filipino and American soldiers.
