HICKORY HILLS, Illinois – A 52-year old Filipina nurse was found not guilty of aggravated battery charges for allegedly attacking an 8-month-old patient at the University of Illinois Hospital in 2016.

The court trial that took almost two years finally came to an end on February 26th, and the Fil-Am nurse said her happiness is indescribable.

Domingo, who has been a nurse for UIC hospital for 16 years, said spending several days in jail was a living hell.

Domingo, who is very active in the Filipino community and in church, has a strong support system of friends and family who helped her through this tough time.

Domingo said she does not have any plans of going back to work as a nurse, but wants to continue to help others as a missionary.
