MANILA - Gunshots echoed at a nearly deserted intersection in Mandaluyong City late Thursday as policemen and village guards fired at a white vehicle they thought was carrying a shooting suspect.

The AUV was carrying the suspect's victim and was among 2 people killed in the bungled operation. Two others were wounded.

A video from a witness, who refused to be identified, showed law enforcers firing at the vehicle on the corner of Shaw Boulevard and Old Wack-Wack.

The police chief of Mandaluyong and 10 of his men who figured in the shooting were relieved from their posts on Friday while Malacanang said the incident would be investigated fully.
