MANILA - The Sandiganbayan has once again allowed former senator Bong Revilla to visit his ailing father for humanitarian considerations.

A court resolution dated December 28, 2016 authorized Revilla to visit his father, former senator Ramon Revilla Sr., at St. Luke's Medical Center on December 29 and 31, and on January 1.

The younger Revilla was given six hours each day to be with his father who was diagnosed with severe sepsis secondary to pneumonia.

Revilla, however, is restricted to St. Luke's and is not allowed to go anywhere else. The Philippine National Police (PNP) has been tasked to provide his personal escorts and necessary security measures.

Revilla is also not allowed use any means of communication or talk to the media.
