Duterte, who is spending the holidays in his hometown, visited the mall located in the heart of the southern city Saturday night to comfort relatives of 37 people trapped. He also met with local authorities on the response.

Duterte's daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte said Sunday the body of one of the victims has been retrieved. She has ordered fire officers to continue search operations until all are found.
