An emotional Senator Leila de Lima on Monday blasted her former driver and alleged bagman Ronnie Dayan and self-confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa, saying the two were lying in their testimonies.

De Lima said the Senate inquiry is not an issue of choosing which one of the two is telling the truth since both are lying in linking her to the illegal drug trade.

“Pareho po kasing nagsisinungaling diyan sa punto na yan,” a visibly emotional De Lima said.

She added that she will not confront the two because they seem unprepared to say the truth but added that the two are divulging some truths.

“Meron kayong mga sinasabi na totoo,” she told Dayan and Espinosa.

She said inconsistencies in the statements should be subject for cross-examination since most of the statements seem "fabricated."

De Lima was later seen walking out of the hearing.
