ILIGAN - The local government has suspended curfew in this city from Tuesday to Thursday as residents observe All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.

According to Senior Supt. Leony Roy Ga, Iligan chief of police, said they received orders from Mayor Celso Regencia to suspend the curfew for three days.

Police will however implement a liquor band during those days, meaning consuming, selling and buying of alcoholic drinks is prohibited from 1:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Police said they deployed additional personnel as families remember their dearly departed.

Iligan has been implementing a curfew from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., by virtue of a city ordinance, following the siege of neighboring Marawi City.

The curfew hours will automatically resume on November 3, police said.
