TUBA, Benguet – A portion of the road leading to Kennon Road Bridge remains impassable to motorists after strong winds and heavy rains brought by typhoon 'Lawin' caused the soil to erode.

Two poles of the detour bridge also collapsed when the most powerful storm to hit the country battered northern Luzon recently.

Kennon Road will remain closed until the Department of Public Works and Highways clears up the eroded part of Camp 5.

Meanwhile, residents will have to walk on the bridge and transfer to other vehicles.
