MANILA—The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested a high-value target in South Cotabato early Saturday morning.

Alvin Keith Valerio, 40, was arrested by PDEA operatives during the serving of a search warrant in Antipolo subdivision, Koronadal city.

The suspect is said to be a co–owner of Koronadal Sports Complex Cockpit and an alleged drug lord financier connected to the El Patron Drug Group that operates in Region 12.

Government agents also recovered about 150 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” estimated to be worth P750,000 as well as a digital weighing scale, guns, live ammunition, and other drug paraphernalia.

Valerio, currently detained at the PDEA 12 detention facility, will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
