CABADBARAN CITY – Eleven passengers of a bus traveling from Surigao City to Davao City were injured when the vehicle fell into a canal in Cabadbaran City past midnight on Wednesday.

The left front tire of PP bus number PJ-61 with plate number USI169, owned by the Leyte Biliran Star Bus Corporation, exploded as it passed by Barangay Sanghan.

According to driver Wilson Abenoja, he tried to control and maneuver the bus to safety but it still fell into the canal in front of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) office in Cabadbaran City.

The injured passengers were rushed by policemen to the Cabadbaran City District Hospital for immediate medical attention.
