Cebu church, private sector join forces for drug rehab

CEBU - Sixty-five drug dependents graduated from their 10-day rehabilitation program organized by the private sector and the Archdiocese of Cebu.

Under the "Surrender to God Drug Recovery Program," the attendees went through a spiritual recovery program with the help of their spiritual adviser, who is a priest.

Drug tests were also conducted during the rehabilitation program to monitor the status of those who surrendered and to check whether they used illegal drugs during rehabilitation.

The archdiocese and the private sector asked the local government for financial help in sustaining the program.
