The camp of Patricia Bautista, estranged spouse of Comelec chief Andres Bautista, released Wednesday photos of her meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte last July 26, two days after the State of the Nation Address.

The photos, released by Atty. Martin Loon, showed the President with Bautista and the latter's team.

The President earlier confirmed Bautista’s claim that they met last July 26 to discuss the case she intends to file against her husband.

"Gusto nila ipaalam na mayroon silang ipa-file na kaso kasi nga the integrity of the entire elections may be put into [question]," Duterte said.

In an interview with ANC's Headstart on Tuesday, Bautista said she sought help from the President after allegedly discovering passbooks, documents and other materials that showed her husband had nearly P1 billion in unexplained wealth.

She added she "had to go to someone who was not corruptible."

Bautista's lawyer, Martin Loon, meanwhile, denied that the meeting between his client and President Duterte was brokered by defeated vice-presidential bet Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. or his wife, Liza Araneta-Marcos.

"It wasn’t Tita Liza who set the meeting. If it were her, I would have told you so; but it wasn’t her. I just want to protect the identity of the friend who helped us set the meeting with the President. But definitely, it was not Tito Bong or Tita Liza at all," he told ANC.
