MANILA - (UPDATE) After the bloody raid that left a town mayor with alleged drug links dead, Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa on Monday said there would be more to come.

"Marami pa. Marami pa kaya hintay-hintay lang kayo," Dela Rosa told reporters in a press conference in Camp Crame after he was asked who's next in Mindanao.

Dela Rosa said there will be more will be on a "nationwide scale," as he warned alleged narco-politicians to surrender.

"To be fair with these people, this should serve as a warning to everyone na ang PNP ay walang sinasanto pag dating sa enforcement ng batas. As far as law enforcement is concerned, we have no fear or favor," he said.

Ozamiz Mayor Reynaldo "Aldong" Parojinog and 14 others were killed in a series of raids in San Roque Lawis, Ozamiz City early Sunday.

Police claimed they met violent resistance when they served 6 search warrants for firearms in the properties of Parojinog and members of his family at around 2:30 a.m., according to Supt. Lemuel Gonda, spokesperson of the Northern Mindanao police.

Parajinog's daughter, Ozamiz Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog, and her brother were arrested during the raid, and will be brought to Camp Crame within the day.

Chief Superintendent Roel Obusan, director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, said the fact that these members of the family and several other armed men remain alive proves that the police did not mean to kill when they operated over the weekend.

"Kaya nga may nahuli tayo, kasi we are not meant to kill; yung mga lumalaban lang...It erases the doubt of the lawyer na they are meant to be liquidated kasi if that’s really our intention, napatay na sana lahat; si Madam Nova, wala na rin sana," he said.

"We really intend to bring them to justice and for them to answer justice alive. Kaya lang ang nangyayari kung minsan, may laban kasi sila yung nag-maintain ng private army and we were fired upon before entering the premises," he added.

Dela Rosa said he also wanted the Parajinog patriarch alive "to answer the charges," but when he resisted arrest, "I want my men alive more than him."

"Lagi kong sinasabi yan: After the smoke is clear, it should be the good man standing and the bad man lying on the pavement," he said.

Obusan, whose men also launched the operation which killed Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa Sr. inside a prison cell, believes drug personalities should just yield to arresting officers instead of resisting.

"I hope those are things na maiiwasan sa susunod: wag na tayong maglabanan, sumurrender na lang, tapusin na yung mga ginagawang mali at mag-heed sa request or sa pakiusap ng ating presidente," he said.
