Based on the initial investigation conducted by Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), 2 unidentified men arrived at Solima's house past 5 p.m.

They asked Solima to defend a certain detainee at Cebu City Jail who had been arrested for drugs.

But when the lawyer said that he would charge an acceptance fee of P120,000, one of the men immediately shot the lawyer.
