Rape eyed as motive behind Bulacan massacre; 100k reward offered

MANILA - The mayor of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan is offering a reward of 100,000 pesos for any information leading to the capture of the people behind the massacre of five family members in the city.

Authorities have identified the victims as Estrella Carlos, her kids aged 1, 7 and 11; as well as her mom Auring. The husband Dexter Carlos Sr. found them dead in their house upon returning home.

Mayor Florida Robes said police are looking at rape as a possible motive behind the massacre as the two female victims were found half-naked.

Autopsy reports reveal Estrella sustained 45 stab wounds in the body, while her mother Auring sustained 32 stab wounds.

Meanwhile, the eldest Carlos kid sustained 14, stabs; the middle child, 19 stabs; while the youngest sustained 5 stab wounds.

The father of the victims is appealing for help to immediately find the people behind the massacre of his family.

San Jose del Monte police said they have already interviewed 5 individuals, 4 males and 1 female, who may help them find the culprits.
