The "humanitarian pause" will be observed from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, military spokesman Brigadier General Restituto Padilla told ABS-CBN News, calling it a "unity move" with the Islamic community.

"Kami po ay nananalangin na sana ito ay maging maayos sa pagpapatupad nang sa ganoon ay mabigyan po ng pagkakataon ang ating mga kapatid na Muslim na maipagdaos nila ang paggunita ng Eid sa pinakamaayos na pamamaraan," he said in an interview with DZMM.
