MANILA- Former Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. has been discharged from the hospital after he was confined last Tuesday. He is now back at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame.

In a report submitted by Supt. Arnel Apud to Sandiganbayan 1st Division Chairperson Efren Dela Cruz, Revilla was reported discharged from confinement at the St Luke's Medical Center, Global, Taguig City, at 7:42 p.m. Thursday after undergoing a series of medical and laboratory exams.

The PNP also reported that Revilla was immediately escorted to his detention facility in Camp Crame and "arrived safely at about 8:09 pm of same date with no untoward incident."

Revilla is under the custody of the PNP as his plunder trial in connection with the pork barrel scam is still ongoing.

He was confined at St. Luke's in June 20 after his blood pressure went up while visiting his father, former Sen. Ramon Revilla Sr, who underwent a heart procedure also in the same hospital.
