DAVAO CITY—President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered authorities to investigate the recent "tanim-bala" incident at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Special Assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go said Saturday.

Go said the government has directed the Department of Transportation, Manila International Airport Authority and Office for Transportation Security to investigate the incident.

"Inaalam ngayon ng authorities kung saan nanggaling 'yon, kung ano ang puno't dulo. Kung talaga bang hinulog para mangikil. So pakinggan din natin, antayin natin ang imbestigasyon," he said on the sidelines of the Eid'l Fitr celebration in Davao City.

"In 24 hours, i-submit nila ang report sa amin."

Kristine Moran shared on Facebook that a bullet was discovered in her baggage upon checking at the NAIA Terminal 3 Gate 2 on Friday.

Go told reporters that Moran was not held by authorities after the incident as it is the airport's standard operating procedure to avoid delaying passengers.

Go urged other victims to come forward.

"Magsumbong kayo, magwala kayo diyan, para maka-create ng attention na merong nangyayari. Pero ang importante dito, walang naha-hassle. Walang na-agrabyado, at walang kinikikilan," he said.
