Alleged NPA leader arrested in Bohol

TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol—An alleged leader of the New People's Army was arrested here early Saturday morning.

Pedro Lumantas has a standing arrest warrant on allegations that he committed murder last year.

Authorities found him at a private hospital. He sustained gunshot wounds from a suspected firefight.

Lumantas is said to be the logistics officer of the NPA in Central Visayas.

He was arrested in Sibulan town, Negros Oriental, in 2008 for illegal possession of explosives and is currently on parole.
