A megamouth shark was found dead along the shore of Pondol Village in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, Monday morning.

Melchezedeck Costa, the official in charge of fisheries at the Municipal Agriculture Office, said the shark measured 4.3 meters long, weighed some 600 kilos and was 2.5 meters in circumference.
