The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has overrun an encampment of combined forces of the terror-linked Abu Sayyaf and Maute groups in Piagapo town, Lanao del Sur, following a firefight Saturday morning.

In a press conference, 1st Tabak Division Commander General Rolando Joselito Bautista said they recovered war materiel, components for improvised explosive devices, cellphones, cameras, uniforms, a jihadists' flag commonly used by the Islamic State, and passports of an Indonesian national.
