BACOLOD CITY - The Philippine National Police and the Philippine Army are on alert after receiving information about the presence of alleged armed men in Sitio Capaclan Barangay Inayawan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental Friday night.

Cauayan Police Chief, Chief Inspector Ruben Pajarito said they received the information through their intelligence report. He said the
number of alleged armed men who got off the boat was undetermined.

The PNP and the Philippine Army were not able to penetrate the area as there were stone barriers. But they said they conducted a check point at the nearest barangay.

Pajarito believes that this was not made by a terrorist group.
